April 25

Just a quick hello and update. Next week I have my annual physical and another appointment with the otolaryngologist for the usual bi-monthly laryngoscopy. After that, he will order the 6-month PET/CT for later in May or the beginning of June.

In terms of health, I think my allergies are bad. Combined with the new reality that is my temperamental throat, it feels like I am getting sick. For that matter, I probably do have a cold right now. All I know is that I'm dragging.

Most of the time I am very tired by the end of the day, which for me is dinnertime. 😂 Cancer and all the necessary follow-ups have definitely instilled a sense of urgency, because you just never know when...💀

So, in addition to writing the intro psych textbook (deadline is late June), I talked to another publisher about possibly writing a Positive Psychology textbook. I have been working on the prospectus for that. I recently also outlined a third book based on my experiences as a (rather extreme) introvert. Ah, and then there's the 15-page academic paper I wrote that, as it turns out, is probably just an outline (thank you, Jamie, for reviewing it❤️). Not enough going on? I didn't think so either so I have started developing scripts for the introductory "sessions" of a podcast. Because that all still feels like epic underachievement, I just agreed to teach an overload for the coming Fall semester. And, this summer, I really hope a friend will help me put an addition on the back of my house.

Cancer didn't kill me, but I just might inadvertently kill me. 😂

Thanks for looking in. I hope you are all doing well.
