Day 23 - Getting Tougher

My Covid symptoms are abating. I'll test tomorrow morning.

The effects of radiation have ramped up. Wow. The doctor's timeline predictions have been spot-on. Hitting the wall is very near. My throat really hurts. It took 2 liters of water to get one plate of food down the hatch tonight. Here's to peeing all night long. LOL! The transition to mucky food will start tomorrow.

I will call palliative care tomorrow for an appointment about pain management. I'll talk to Dr. Sood on Wednesday about additional pain meds. It is clear to me now that they will be a necessary evil in order to avoid a feeding tube.

As I quipped to my friend Jamie in a text, "Where's a medically induced coma when you need one?"
