Preliminary Impression of PET/CT

I don't have official results. The radiologist has not read the scan at this point. I did, however, have an appointment with the otolaryngologist/surgeon today. He is the person who originally identified and then biopsied my cancer. He told me that my scan "looks really good." I asked if I might be in the 85-90% cure statistics. He simply said, "Ya."

His notes in MyChart say:

"The patient has a CT PET that was done today which I reviewed but is not yet read formally. It looks unremarkable to me. We will send him the final PET scan results on MyChart but I am encouraged by what I saw on his images today. He will follow-up in approximately 3 months assuming the final read is negative."

That is what I know. It seems things are looking good but the official stamp of approval is not officially in. The moment I know, I will post again.
