Day 11 - So It Begins?

Today was radiation alone. By itself, it was unremarkable. Same process. Same 8 minutes.

What is different is that I have been sleepy tired all day. I woke up at 7 and was having a nap by 8:30. I set my alarm for 9:25 so I'd have time to get up, ready, and to my radiation appointment at 10:30.

On the way home I ran three quick errands. At home, I went back to bed and was there until 4pm (15 minutes ago). Now I feel okay.

As for the effects of radiation, today is the day I can say things have changed. The tissues in my mouth and throat are stiff. There are mouth and throat exercises I have been doing and will need to continue with for sure to hold this at bay as long as possible. For example, in the car driving to and from treatment, I gape like an alligator. I move my jaw around. I stick my tongue out as far as I can and move it in big circles. There was a moment or two where I was thinking of posting a video of such behavior but...

Not gonna happen. LOL
